Warmup Exercises for Your Curvy Beach Workout

Hey CurvyFit Sis!

With spring on its way, I know you want to get outdoors and enjoy the elements. I live in South FL so that’s pretty much year round for me LOL! Seriously though, I want to share a warmup routine that we do to get ready for a beach workout. When you’re working out in the sand, you’ve got to come correct. No half stepping it. You must properly warmup before getting into the workout so that your muscles have:

  • increased oxygen flow

  • flexibility

  • good blood circulation

Why is this important?

When you’re exercising in the beach sand, you want to reduce any risk for injury and fatigue.

***Curvy Fit Tip*** Be sure that you bring your “A” game to the beach. This means get proper sleep, rest, adequate hydration and food intake. Being out in the heat coupled with the sand will require a good amount of fuel to perform at your optimal. In other words, the sand ain’t nothin’ to play with!

I’m a huge advocate for training on different surfaces and sand is my #2 on the list for challenge, intensity yet ease on the body and joints. Do you or have you ever trained on the beach?
